About The Role & Who We’re Scouting
An exciting job opportunity has arisen at Leicester City Football Club for a talented Doctor to work across the Club.
Based at our world class training facility at Seagrave, Loughborough, the successful candidate will provide medical care, emergency matchday coverage, and injury management for elite players under the supervision of the 1st Team Doctor (Head of Medicine).
This is a unique role that spans across the club and a key element will be to support the medical provision of the First Team, the Academy and Leicester City Women Football Club.
The job is part time, over 4 days per week, with approximately 2 days spent in the Academy.
As Club Doctor, you’ll play a key role in working closely with the Head of Medicine to lead medical initiatives across the club and with the MDTs to oversee injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation programs and player transitions.
Your responsibilities will include acute assessment, precise diagnosis, and comprehensive rehabilitation programs for injured Players, as well as ensuring strict adherence to EFL, FA, EPPP, and WADA regulations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in elite sport. You’ll need a minimum of 10 years’ post graduate experience and be well-versed in general Practice, Sports Medicine or Emergency Medicine background. A MBChB, GMC Registration, Post graduate qualification in Sports and Exercise Medicine, MFSEM and ATMMiF qualification or equivalent is essential, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
