JOB TITLE: Product Marketing Executive
DEPARTMENT: Commercial Marketing
LOCATION: Stamford Bridge
CONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time
Closing date: 11th November
We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. In the event that we receive a large number of applications, the position may be filled before the listed closing date. To avoid missing out, please submit your application at your earliest convenience.
About the role: We’re looking for a data-driven and fan-centric Product Marketing Executive to help grow awareness, acquisition and engagement across our suite of digital products - from the Chelsea Official App and Membership, to emerging platforms and experiences.
You’ll be part of a team at the intersection of marketing, product and fan engagement, delivering campaigns that help supporters discover our products, understand their value and strengthen their connection with the club.
Working with the Product Marketing Manager, you’ll own day-to-day campaign delivery, bringing creative ideas, strong organisation and a hands-on approach to turning plans into effective marketing activity.
Key responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day delivery of agreed product marketing campaigns, from briefs and copy through to assets, approvals, channel coordination and reporting.
- Maintain the product marketing calendar, tracking deadlines, dependencies and upcoming activity.
- Write supporter-facing copy for emails, web pages, in-app placements, app store updates and other relevant channels.
- Develop creative briefs and work with Creative Studio to deliver effective assets, providing clear feedback against the campaign objectives.
- Deliver marketing activity for product launches and feature updates, helping supporters understand the benefits and how to use them.
- Own agreed BAU product marketing campaigns across key product areas while working with CRM, Content, Product, Data and commercial teams to improve performance.
- Prepare campaign performance updates that explain what worked, what needs attention and the proposed next steps, and apply those learnings to future activity.
- Use supporter feedback, campaign results and relevant examples from other clubs and brands to recommend improvements to messaging, creative and supporter journeys.
About you
- Experience delivering marketing campaigns or communications across digital channels.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to explain products and benefits clearly to different audiences.
- Good creative judgement, with an eye for compelling copy and assets and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with experience managing several pieces of work and meeting deadlines.
- Confidence working across teams, securing the information and approvals needed, and following activity through to completion.
- An interest in digital products, supporter behaviour and customer journeys.
- Comfortable interpreting performance data and turning findings into practical recommendations.
- Initiative and sound judgement, with the confidence to take work forward independently, suggest improvements and raise issues early.
- Experience with apps, subscriptions, membership products, CRM or sport would be useful, but is not essential.
Our Expectations:
- To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others
- To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
- To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels
- To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
- To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.
Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion:
At Chelsea we recognise that the diversity of our people is one of our greatest strengths and we are taking positive action to ensure our existing colleagues and job applicants can fully be themselves and bring their own unique experiences and perspectives to Chelsea FC.
