Shrewsbury Town is seeking to appoint a Part-Time Goalkeeping Coach to join the club’s academy.
The successful candidate will work as part of the academy coaching team, primarily supporting the head of academy goalkeeping in delivering high-quality goalkeeping provision.
The role will involve planning, delivering and reviewing coaching sessions in line with the club’s playing and coaching philosophies.
The successful applicant will also be expected to work closely with part-time and full-time staff, ensuring all off-pitch responsibilities are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Essential requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
- UEFA B Licence in Goalkeeping and Outfield, or currently working towards these qualifications.
- FA Youth Awards.
- FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF).
- FA Safeguarding Children Award.
- Honesty, integrity and reliability, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent time management and a flexible approach to work.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
- A full, valid driving licence.
Desirable requirements:
The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:
- FA Advanced Youth Award.
- UEFA A Licence in Goalkeeping.
- Previous experience working within an academy environment.
- Experience using systems such as Kitman Labs and Sport Session Planner.
- Knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of young goalkeepers within the club’s Academy, working collaboratively with the wider coaching department to support player development and progression.
