The Department
The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’.
Our Education Divison is striving to be at the forefront of supporting schools and individuals across the city through innovative curriculums and bespoke delivery. The division oversees our Primary School Sport and Education, Alternative Education, Villa Vision and our Further & Higher Education programmes. Each programme aims to engage and inspire participants using the power of the club, football and the Premier League as a hook for learning.
The Role
The Alternative Education Officer will lead and deliver on all aspects of our Alternative Education programme in both Primary and Secondary educational settings. The programme covers several themes within our AE curriculum of Life Skills, Employment, Coaching & Leadership and Health & Wellbeing. The Officer will also support and guide individuals through qualifications and personal development opportunities, while communicating and collaborating with each educational setting to create bespoke timetables to meet students' needs and align with the visions of both the setting and Aston Villa Foundation.
Within this role, you will deliver high quality lessons, mentoring sessions and extra-curricular activities across the academic year to engage learners in a tailored approach. This approach is unique and blended in nature, with both practical and classroom elements delivered as part of the programme.
Delivery takes place at various club locations directly in our Partner Schools. The programme also provides unique learning opportunities and experiences at Villa Park and our Inner-City Academy.
