Northampton Town Football Club is engaging with a training provider to create over 50 local jobs through a stewarding qualification process.
The club have agreed a programme with a specialist training provider aimed at boosting employment opportunities at the club while enhancing matchday safety and the supporter experience at Sixfields.
The initiative will see more than 50 employment opportunities for local people to become trained and qualified to perform the role of a matchday steward at Sixfields Stadium. The programme is designed to equip participants with a nationally recognised stewarding qualification, opening the door to both part-time and long term employment in the events and security sector.
This reflects the club's growing commitment to the community engagement and local economic development.

About the Role
Northampton Town Football Club is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our matchday operation team as Event Stewards. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the live matchday event experience, ensuring the safety, security and enjoyment of supporters at Sixfields Stadium.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting supporters on matchdays
- Checking tickets and directing supporters, guests and visitors to seating areas
- Monitoring crowd safety and reporting incidents
- Supporting emergency procedures when required
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- A friendly and professional attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, Bank Holidays and weekends for matchdays and events
- Willingness to complete stewarding and safety training (provided).
